My parents took me to see Popeye at a drive-in. You are absolutely right about Shelly Duvall. The movie is pretty faithful to the cartoon.
When my kids were little, I recognized Mr. Noodle from somewhere, but couldn't figure out where, besides the "Don't Worry, Be Happy" video.
