I'm sure we can recruit a few from the other place. I'll try to send a few suggestive PMs to anyone reading comics out there. I've got a couple of Canuckleheads in mind too, so I'll pimp it to them as well.

just remember that it doesn't have a default landing page as of yet, so just send them to http://www.WallCrawlersWeb.com/forum

Copy that. I'll include a direct link to the site in my emails. I have a Silver Age fan buddy up here, I think he'll jump in.

EDITED: Hey Vyn, just a thought - you might be able to streamline things a little by having one forum for Amazing, one forum for "Other Ongoing Spidey Series" and then the one for the defunct series. Threads in the "Other Ongoing" would have to be started for each current book - but it might tighten up the front page a bit. Not that it's super long or anything............

Oh, and sorry for geeking right out and making a bunch of posts right off the bat. I DO love a good Spidey chat.

should i just lump all currently active Spidey comics in one forum, and then have cancelled/ended spidey comics forum after that? that might be a better way to go. but if it gets busy, it might lead to confusion?

and no worries about jumping in! that's a great start, and it means more to talk about when more people join!

i will have a landing page at the main URI asap, which will have a link to the forum - i'll give you guys a heads up when that's up and running.

Maybe. Then inside the forum would be the threads for each book. I guess my concern was: how many good threads of discussion are ever going to be up and running in the Web of Spider-Man forum? Not that it wasn't a good book, it's just not in the forefront of many peoples' comic-minds these days I wouldn't think. Been wrong before though.

EDITED: Looks awesome, Vyn. I wonder if the Spider-Man movies and video games would work the same way - under a "multi-media" heading or something. I'm probably different than most, but I prefer fewer choices on the main page. The colors and avatars are absolutely smokin'. I'll be poking around there a lot. Don't hesitate to bother me if you want me to help with the research or anything.

for some reason i don't think that would work as well, and just lead to confusion as to where to post...

you can always "collapse" the areas you don't want to see by clicking on the "-" next to the category name...

thanks. wait till i start going through my comics taking scans for the DB... i'll make 'tars while i'm at it... and there's a new mod being written for the forum that allows a certain avatar feature as of yet unavailable to us...

i will have an area where viewers can become "contributors" to the site, writing synopses, providing cover/panel scans and the like. those that do will become "Daily Bugle Staff" or something in their rank on the forum...

Very cool. Once I get the new PC up and running, I'm hoping the scanning and manipulation of photos will work a lot more quickly and smoothly than it does for me now.

so, the index page is up at the root URI - http://www.WallCrawlersWeb.com

this is slightly indicative of what the actual site will look like, but i'll have a more graphical title bar across the top, with the main navigation for the site, and database navigation along the left hand side, with a hero image on the right side. the main body area will be broken up into panels, reminiscent of a comic book page.
