Police yesterday arrested two young men in Clifton for possession of a multitude of ninja weapons, including throwing knives, two ninja swords, nunchucks, 13 crossbow arrows and a bow. They were on their way to leave a threatening letter at a former girlfriend's house. From the Herald News:
The officers noticed that the two men were both dressed in all black and that the driver, Trojaniak, had a knife in a black sheath attached to his belt. The police also saw another sheathed knife on the passenger side floor.
Tertkiewicz told police that he had a lot of weapons. They searched him and found eight ninja throwing knives, nine throwing stars and one Chinese star.
The pair told police that they were on their way to place threatening letters on houses of people they thought were using or selling drugs. They said they had already left a threatening letter at Tertkiewicz's ex-girlfriend's house. They said they brought the weapons just in case they encountered someone.
"Apparently, they were trying to scare her," Rowan said. "There was some element of them taking the law into their own hands."
