Y'know what'd be nice? If the Dreamwave TF bankruptcy stuff was cleared up, and the unpublished stuff were published, with a few more issues to wrap things up. That War Within saga (it was essentially an ongoing) was awesome shit, and it probably had at least one or two more 6-issue miniseries to go.

I wouldn't even mind a compilation of the regular series, with a text piece on what was planned to come.

Oh well. It'll never happen.

I only read the first two issues back when it came out. I've been holding off until I had all 15 issues to read it.
Perhaps after IDW finishes up the "Marvel" series they can finish up the DreamWave stuff. At the end of the day, it's Hasbro's property and they can do whatever they want with it. But IDW probably doesn't want to waste creative effort tying off an arterial wound from another publisher.

Bought another long box today. 365 comics for $110. Also hit up a few of the smaller dealers and found some Impulse, Catwoman, and Batman books for another $20.

Adam Strange 1, 5-8. More than half of a 2004 8-issue series.
An issue of All Star Squadron.
A few issues of Alpha Flight. Only need 5 more between the last two series and I'll have every AF book ever.
A few Avengers minis issues. And the second Pet Avengers mini. Sweet.
Batman Gotham Knights 19.
Shadow of the Bat 45-68. HUGE dent in that run. Only 16 more to go.
6 issues of Legends of the Dark Knight.

Batman GCPD 1-4. Complete mini.
Batman Death and the Maidens. Almost the whole 9 issue mini.

It's tough to say. I've got 60+ boxes in the basement from my 1987-1995 collecting.
I've got another 20 to 25 boxes(or more!) in storage from when I moved back from Cali.
And in the last couple years I've accumulated 23 long and 23 short boxes.
And on top of that I've run out of box space so books are piling up on shelves and places. It's problematic because I have limited funds and if it comes down to buying supplies(boxes, boards, bags,etc) or books, I'll buy books.

My new year's resolution is to catch up on cataloging the last couple years worth of books and getting them on my comicbookdb account and in my notebooks. In a word: Daunting.

There's something to be said for the enjoyment of the "hunt" in tracking down missing back issues. And bonus if I get 'em criminally cheap.
But getting my Wednesday Fix every week is also essential. And it behooves me to keep my LCS in business. (Hmmm..there might be an inane prattle article there "The Argument for Buying New Floppies" or something)

Ironically, my comic guy was at the show on Saturday, filling his own longbox up with cheap books. Hell, even if he turned around and sold every book for a $1, that's still a 300% profit at least.

My 2013 FCBD Haul. First off, the first LCS I went to just had a ridiculous amount of old 90s Image books in their cheap boxes. Second, it's getting harder to fill up boxes with the stuff I'm looking for. Because I already have most of it. And the stuff I am getting isn't actually my high priority stuff. I mean, yeah, it's cool to cross Hawkworld off my 'to find' list, but it wasn't exactly high on my must haves. Anyway, here's what I scrounged at stop one.

Batman:Odyssey II 6. I honestly can't tell which series is which. I might've left issues I need.

My guy is putting a bunch of new books into what he calls overstock - it's like a purgatory for "new" comics that are too old for the shelves but somehow not worthy of going into the back issue bins for whatever reason (no good reason that I can think of really, but it's not for me to decide). He always has them at like half cover - $1.50 being the most common price. I could literally have had about 100 issues of new 52 and Marvel NAOOOOOO from these boxes.... if I had any desire to read them or add them to my collection.

The industry is not in a good place.
