Wow, what a way to wake up and find out that they have finally caught Saddam Hussein. Hopefully this will help bring a little rest to an area of the world in time for the holidays.

Here's an interesting question of timing:

Saddam was captured around 8:30 PM Iraq time Saturday.

Nothing was announced until 7:30 PM Iraq time Sunday.

Soooo. . . when was the footage shown yesterday morning of Iraqis celebrating his capture, in daylight, shot?

i saw footage of people celebrating in the dark... i don't question the fact that saddam was captured, just that why haven't we gotten bin ladden yet?

Man, looking at the footage of that shit hole he was supposedly hiding in I'm not surprised. This arrest was based on good intel, I wonder how many failed attempts led up to the successful one. I have faith that they'll find Bin Laden too - provided he's still alive.

That's the deflating thing about a mess like this. There's absolutely nothing you could do to that guy that would make him pay. Torturing him for hours doesn't even scratch the surface, and I hate bin Laden more than him. I guess they'll go to trial at the Hague and then to prison where they'll live in luxury with restricted movements until they die gracefully at the age of 105 or whatever. Oh well.

Shawn Hannity made a good point (as paradoxiacal as that statement is..): Give him the death penalty he want's, but boil his last meal in pork broth before it's prepared and served. Strap him in the chair and then let him know.
