I just learned that Jubilee has apparently lost her mutant powers as a result of this House of M shitfest. And here's what I have to say about that:
FUCK YOU, MARVEL COMICS!
Jesus Christ, going out like a hero is one thing. Losing your powers for the sake of this month's pointless epic crossover? Fucking Clayface II went out like less of a bitch. Christ, the fucking Jedi Order went out less like bitches.
As long as I live, I will not buy another new comic from these fucking retards until they recant this fucking moronic decision.
Or at least make the Iceman a mutant again. Come on, goddammit, you fucking shiteaters. Meet me halfway, you cocksucking scumbags.

He's always been tough to read, but I think you're on the money with that assessment. I think Anarky's fondness for Jubilee is some hidden urge to pinch Robin's bum that he just can't come to grips with - and the appearance of a female Robin allowed him to transfer that urge to a more hetero-friendly target.
It's okay, Anarky - there's nothing wrong with that.

Two words: Larry Hama. The guy is a god, and he made her the perfect counterpart to Wolverine.
I could live with this except:
A) Jubilee and Iceman? WTF???
B) Typical Marvel "let's have some ramifications of this otherwise dull and useless year-long crossover" crap.
C) Typical Marvel cop-out solution to the problem of there being too damned many mutants.
D) I'm sure Fabian Nicieza and Bob Harras are somehow involved in this shit.
I'll be sticking with Dark Horse, DC, and the indies, thankyaverymuch. At least they know how to actually write STORIES THAT DON'T BLOW!!
I suppose, though, losing one's powers is a far less horrific fate than being the title character in a totally irredeemable piece of shit series like Jubilation starred in a year or so ago.
And don't all jump on me at once. I tried this House of M shit, and it stunk as badly as X-Cutioners Song or The Age of Apocalypse. (Yeah, I know y'all liked that one, but I'd not insult by butt by using one of those issues as toilet paper.)

Zing. AOA got me back into comics after a 4 or 5 year (really) layoff - it was the restarting of all the books at #1 that hooked me, and the advent of computer color separations which I'd never seen before the AOA books. The Wolverine 4 part story was wicked, no matter how much you hated the rest of it.

On a current note, Chris Bachalo is working on Uncanny again right now. His dark, manga-esque style works well for me - I first started liking him back when Generation X started. I think this is his 2nd run on Uncanny, but there may have been more.
The last issue (467) is quite good: the Shi'ar invaded and blew the crap out of nearly every member of Jean Grey's family. Only Rachael survived, but something happened to her as well.
