Still, you gotta admit: Chukha-Trokh (covering my bases with the "H" since I seem to fuck up the spelling every other time I write it) instead of Teebo would make that set the greatest set ever.

As it is, it's beaten out by the Star Tours set. Because Teek.

i assume 'corpsey' is the name of the ewok that bites it, yes? that IS awesome.

i still find it funny that everyone goes all mushy about the one ewok that dies in the ground battle, but no one bats an eye when an entire starship is then obliterated by the death star immediately thereafter.

I looked it up, Corpsey is the one that dies. Other than Wicket, I have never been able to remember Ewok names. I think I can now remember 2.

And if you go into the discussion in Clerks, many innocent contractors died when the Death Star was destroyed.

I have a rather sad ability to remember Ewok names.

Just tossing 'em out from the top of my head, there's Wicket W. Warrick (the only one given a full name, IIRC), Widdle, Wiley, Nippet, Leektar, Teebo, Paploo, Romba, Graak, Chief Chirpa, Princess Kneesa, Lumat, Kaink, Chukha-Trok, Corpsey, Weechee, Deej.... Seriously, that's just sad, ain't it?

I know a handful of the names, I just have no idea who they are on-screen. Wicket is pretty obvious. Now I can identify Corpsey...he's the one with the blaster holes in him.

I did not realize that the female figures had panties until this evening. I put the Ric Olie figure on the shelf and, immediately, the little plastic panties dropped.

Aside from making my Padmes seem a little damp and clammy, Ric is a pretty sweet figure. Definitely one of those resculpts that you don't realize is necessary until you compare them. The soft goods coat is shit, but the figure without it rather rocks. I've got mine posed with one hand on his gat, and the other making a "come here, motherfucker, and I will fuck your shit up good" gesture. There is some brown residue under a Cobra Commander who's on the same shelf. I think that ruthless terrorist shat himself.

My parents are total packrats and have accumalated 70+ years worth of stuff. Now that they're getting on in years, they're Slowly reducing the amount of stuff they have. So my dad is going through some old papers he's had since the late 70s... And finds the ORIGINAL Kenner Death Star Plans. Apparently, after building the Death Star for me when I was Three Years Old, he tucked the instructions in a stack of papers. And just today found them 35 years later.

So now I have the Death Star Plans. Feel free to make jokes.

I had the Death Star when I was a kid, too. It was an awesome toy.

The Ewok with the gun, Kneesa, and Corpsey. Motherfucking Corpsey, with the name Corpsey. Fuck. Yes.

As anarky sadly pointed out, the Chukha-Trok that had been planned is not here. Hopefully he'll still make it out somehow.
I happened to stumble upon a picture both this set and the next Rebel Pilots set featuring a new Porkins. Do I really need more Rebel pilots? The answer is no, but I'll probably end up buying them anyway. Buying the Ewok set is a given....barring it being some outrageously priced exclusive.
The pilot set features Porkin's Droid, an all new Porkins, Tiree, Davish, & an Imperial TIE Pilot, and the Ewok set includes Teebo (an incredible updated figure), Tippet, Kneesaa (from The Ewoks cartoon), Wunka, & Corpsey.

I don't remember: has there been a Mace Windu figure with a removable arm?

Not specifically, no. But any that have an articulation point at the wrist (as only his hand got cut off) would technically work, though whether you could get it back together is a different story.

Double post. Wait, is that an issue here? Fuck it, whatever.

Those handy-dandy Target coupons for 50% off a Star Wars toy expire tomorrow (and are available online, and in the ads, which should be available at the front of the store). I've already gotten the Sith Speeder (the paint differences weren't enough at $17, but at $8.50, why the hell not), another AAT ($15, to flank the upcoming MTT), another STAP ($8.50), and two more Vintage battle droids ($4 each, as they're also on sale this week for $8, so that brings my total up to 8 ). So if there are any pieces you've been waffling about, tomorrow would be the time.

I saw that coupon last week, but there isn't anything out that I want. If it was from Walmart, I'd consider getting one of their exclusives.

Today I went to a Target that is a bit more ghetto that most of town. They had the 2-1B/Leia/Hoth trooper 3 pack for $6. Couldn't pass that up.

Walmart had the new ROTJ deleted scene wave. I briefly considered getting Cracken or the A-Wing pilot, but I didn't.

too late to do anything about it, but do those coupons work on LEGO star wars products, or just hasbro?

I'm pretty sure it was just Hasbro. You know how retailers are stingy with Stare Wars Lego prices.
