Blade Runner

Yeah, it's visually impressive. It is not the be-all-end-all of science fiction. Take away the visuals, and there's not much left. It's loosely based on Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, as in, "We just kept the basic idea of Androids." I saw this two or three times when I was younger. I don't remember much about it, except it looked good and Han Solo was in it.

Why the fuck do we need five different cuts of this fucking movie? One will do just fine.
Rightfully you say, how many fucking versions of this movie do we need? Oh, oh, I better run out to best buy, the superdicksuckingquadruplifyingonesecondneverbeforeseen version just came out and it's only 69 dollars! I think this is THEE most overrated movie of all time!

I bought whatever version of Bladerunner that was in the $5 bin at walmart and I was happy. Watched it once and I'm pretty sure it was widescreen. It was worth the $5.

I actually saw this about two years after I posted about it. It was meh. It wasn't the worst thing in the world, but I wouldn't call it "good," either.

As for more overrated movies that I've seen since my last post . . .

Precious - They just took every depressing thing they could possibly think of (AIDS, mental issues, rape, obesity, racism, etc.) and threw it in a big shitty blender of darkness. It wasn't even sad - it made for a great game of "what will they pile on next?"

Donnie Darko - People (maybe mostly teenagers when I was in that age range) always blew their loads over this one. It was just okay, and tried a little too hard. Nothing special, really.

Bonnie and Clyde. The first couple minutes are good because Faye Dunaway is nekked and you can almost kinda imagine seeing her goodies. But the rest of it is boring shit. And the "dramatic" end scene is pretty laughable now. What is that? Strawberry Jam?
