it boggles my mind that anyone can continue to operate a business after being kicked out of the BBB and not change their practices.

The BBB has no enforcement power. It can only act as a mediator, and report how problems were handled. Did you notice the part in the writeup of the lawsuit where it mentioned that most complaints were dealt with in a "cavalier" fashion, and some were flat-out ignored?

The FTC, however, has power. And if I get a call after specifically calling to tell them it's a wrong number, the FTC will be informed. True, they don't often use their power, but I think it's a matter of how many complaints they get regarding a company. And one that was so recently hit with such a huge fine, well, I think they'd be on thin ice.

Just call her and tell her you're watching her 24/7, and that if you see her dial even the first 4 digits of your phone number EVER again she's in for it. Fucking collections scum... I think they hire deadbeats to work off their own fucking debts, and they only get a percentage of whatever they collect.. they're THAT ignorant. :frus:
