My next door neighbor put up their Christmas lights this weekend. I am not even ready for Thanksgiving yet.

I have no recollection of posting that photo of Chewie. It's like it never happened.

So there's a small town in the south of England whose municipal council authorised these christmas lights dubbed Santa's pants by locals...

They look like they've been hung up for the sole purpose of letting the boys have target practice.

The centre row of lights between the two strings of pants, puts me in mind of some sort of shrimp. Like two shrimps about to fight. I think the guys who put these up so artlessly deserve a medal. Also, I don't think I've ever seen xmas lights less festive. Oh wait, my own town hung the cheapest extruded plastic mouldings on lamp posts one year. The kind of thing you tack to a wall or a door. It was a Santa but there were no illuminations to make it seem festive and light so it looked like wanted posters. That's definitely the worst I've seen in recent years.

There is a fine line between "At least they're trying to do something." and "Ummm, that's only making things worse."

For Christmas(well Thursday but close enough), I got to take my kid to the dentist to get three cavities filled and pay the deductible.
So my Xmas spending fund was depleted and e’erybody ain’t getting shit for gifts. I seriously have $3.25 in my bank account until next Wednesday.

The teeth are fixed. At the end of the day, that's a pretty damned good present regardless of "fun factor".

That was exactly my thinking.
Although also my thinking, as someone who’s never had a cavity, routine brushing and flossing(which is NOT that difficult) would’ve saved me an unnecessary $150 which I could’ve lavished gifts on them with.

I bought and received no gifts this year. It’s the most stress-free Holiday season I’ve had in decades.

Gonna make French Toast later(like way later, after noon at the earliest) then chill until we go to the late show of RoS in the imax tonight.

Funny. I expect to make French toast in an hour or so. Already got the chocolate brioche and everything.

Raisin bread is how I rolled today, but that shit is good right on down to stale leftover white hamburger buns.
