Yeah there are some good people at SSG for trading and shit. I have traded there only once. BTW do anyof you guys have original Taun Taun reins. Mine are gone, and I need new ones. Even if I buy anothjerone on Ebay for 5 bucks, I will still want the reins for this one. Help, anyone?

Oh yeah, I swapped that Kraven for a nicer one. That was months ago.

I also found the new gift sets finally. I decided to skip the Urban Legends set. Why? Well, the Spider-man just looks horrid. The Daredevil, in my opinion isn't as impressive as the original Spidey Classic Version. I dig Frank with Black boots and gloves, but what's up with that disturbed face he's making? Yuck! So basically, I had to decide whether a white Elektra was worth $30. And It wasn't.

The X-Men set on the other hand, rules. And since it had a BRAND NEW Rogue figgie, I had to get it. My X-Men ranks swell slowly but surely.

So, a buddy of mine knows a guy who found Wave 5 at Wal-mart. I know this sounds like one of those friend of a friend urban legend things. But he's actually played with them ( except the Red Skull which the other guy left in the package). So...they're out there.

That's the word on the street at SSG too. I've been on ebay, and may yet spring the 70 bucks to get all 5 figures (including the skull). I saw all 5 of wave 4 (including Goliath) for the same price, and nearly went buy it now because I don't have them yet. Im just not sure I want them badly enough. I like the white Elektra in that gift set, but you're right about Spidey and DD blowing donkeys.

Nick Fury is MINE! The jet pack wash works so much better here than it did for Namor. Nice sculpt. Wishing for a bit more in the articulation. No boot/shin articulation and the joint is directly at the wrist instead of the forearm like most of the others. He and Captain America now adorn my monitor. I was thinking about pulling Wolvie out of my X-Men club to create a sort of WWI heroes trifecta. Anyway, I shall not rest until Norrin Radd is mine as well!

Okay, they came today. The heads are a little weird (too small on Norrin and too skinny on Reed - who's way too buff) and SS's shoulders are way to pumped. Trying to get them to stand on the surfboard or with the long arms in just ain't gonna happen either. Please oh please don't let the quality be going to shit on these figures. I'll need good performances from Nick Fury, Colossus and Sabretooth to make up for these.

That being said, they're not totally bad and look good once set up. They just don't compare to Cap and Iron Man.

Oh, and they would rock if they made the back half of the Fantasticar the base for Sue. Not like they will or anything, but they would rock if they did. That and a Black Panther figure. Then they'd Mega-rock, and Mega-rocking kicks ass.

Whereas I previously stated I couldn't get my Silver Surfer to stand up, I hereby state "he wouldn't stay erect if Krystal Steal and Brianna Banks were blowing him at the same time".

I have managed to recreate one of my favorite comic covers though, with Marvel Legends figures. Silver Surfer #4, with SS flying in on Thor who's wielding Mjolnir to fend him off. I'll try to attach the cover as an image, but bear with me.

Couldn't do the pic, but hit the link and drool at that book. Fuck me.

I am getting Piotr, Norrin, Blade, and Victor for Xmas. My sister lucked into them at Wm down in Davenport and got two sets. One for me and one for my friend from California who was visiting. He shat bricks. needless to say I take back everything bad I ever said about my annoying little bratty sister. [;)] Since I already have Nick Fury, I am only hunting for Reed and of course, the Red Skull. : )

I have already decided I shall pose SS coming dead on with arms swept back and fists curled. Howard shall be posed scrounging for garbage in the bottom of my trashcan. OOPS.

I had Colossus and Sabertooth posed in cool action poses, and came home one day to find my wife had reposed them to a pornographic position. I'll have nightmares for months.

At least the missus has a sense of humor. That's far more valuable than a perfectly posed Colossus.

And who's to say that Peter and Victor aren't...you know....

Piotr's a likely candidate: artist, sensitive, never boned Kitty, hyper concerned with grooming and "buffness", never boned Kitty. Better than likely, looking at the evidence. Creed would be the "Blue Oyster" bar type - quasi biker gay person. Tough on the outside - tougher on his boyfriend's gi tract.
