Goddammit, some fucking asshole posted a comment on a news article about the shooting that showed up right under the fucking story in my FB feed, and I think it was a fucking spoiler.

I'll track down the asshole myfuckingself and beat him senseless with his own severed arm if it is.

You want to say that's not called for, or inappropriate, or too soon? Well, fuck you. I can't divorce my desire to throttle any asshole who spoils that movie right out in the fucking open from reality, okay?

What was the possible spoiler?

Without even knowing the what the spoiled comment was, I think I can safely confirm(and Diabolical will know what I'm talking about) that the Spoiler in question is both 100% true and at the same time 100% false.

That should intrigue you enough to go see the movie. And after you can come back and tell me I was right.

Oh by the way, I totally thought They were gonna pull a bit from Dark Knight Returns and Alfred was gonna keel over and die from a stroke at Bruce's grave at the end.

I know several folks in the Denver area, but JJL's the only person I know who I was concerned might be at a midnight showing of any movie.

JJL, that's our fancy way of saying, "We love you, man." Now don't ever fucking ask us to say that again.
Ah, shucks. YOU GAY WAD !!! :x :x :x

Really, though, thanks for caring.

Yeah, I'm living in Denver. Aurora is maybe 15 or 20 minutes away from downtown, but I don't usually go to Aurora unless it's to check the stores for figures (though I went to the medical campus for a few film projects many, many times, which is near the theater; the shooter went to the same university I did, though he might have been on the aforementioned medical campus while I was on the downtown campus). I didn't actually see TDKR, though I knew a few friends who went at midnight, but thankfully not that theater. It's just fucked up.

I noticed it was the same university, but wasn't aware there were multiple campuses. I will admit I briefly thought about saying maybe he was driven insane by too many goofy cat westerns, but that impulse lasted about one millisecond before the rest of my brain said, "GOD DAMN IT! Even you're not that fucked up! We're warning you, Neuron #456, if you come up with a thought like that again, you're getting transferred to Snigtad's head where you belong the next time this body sneezes!"

BTW, I've read that Warner has pulled all trailers for Gangster Squad.

I really fucking hope they don't overreact and change the movie, or, worse, bury it. That movie looks really damned good from what I've seen. I love gangster movies that are based, even loosely, on history. Sean Penn as Mickey Cohen? I really hope it still gets a normal release.

The one thing (of many) that really pisses me off is the fact that a 3 month old was shot and a 6 year old was killed. What kind of fucking moron brings children that young to a midnight showing? The 3 month old shouldn't be at ANY movie theater at ANY time, and the 6 year old also shouldn't be at a, definitely adult in tone, Batman movie!

And the media really needs to stop with this lunatic being inspired by and dressed as the Joker bullshit. Yeah, so the Joker gassed and killed a studio audience in The Dark Knight Returns. He's probably done something of that sort a few times over the years.
And the nerd in me wants to scream "JOKER HAS GREEN HAIR, NOT RED! DAMMIT!"

Head over to CBR and vote for your favorite Batman movie.
And when I say vote, I mean scroll down to the comments section and write-in Mask of the Phantasm like everyone else is doing. :D

Just saw Batman Begins for the first time a couple weeks ago. I like the sequel with the Joker a bit better. Needless to say, it will be a long time before I see the newest one with Bane.

Oh, and anyone have any idea on how much longer dark movies will be the trend?

I saw that poll before anyone wrote in MOTP and thought, "Where the hell is MOTP?"

Truthfully, Dark Knight was 'darker' than Rises, if that's what is putting you off from seeing DK3.

I don't like going to the theater, and I don't rent movies. Let me put it this way, the last 4 movies I saw in the theater were Revenge of the Sith, Big Fish, the 2nd LOTR, and Attack of the Clones. That's what's stopping me from seeing Batman 3.

Pfffft. Go to a Monday matinee in like three weeks. You'll have the whole auditorium to yourself.

Oh, and rereading the post at the top of this page, what was the spoiler, Chux?
