It looks entertaining enough, but I'm also not really feeling it.
It seems like they're overdoing the "We're not Marvel angle!"

I honestly am about as excited about any of the DC movies as am about finding a zit on my ass.

It is impossible for me to even imagine suicide squad being good. BvsS yes, I can imagine it no problem - but that one no.

Margot Robbie may be crazy hot, but Harley Quinn without the accent?
That's just wrong.

Supposedly there's an alternate version of the film where you see everything from the POV of a GoPro drone-cam that's exclusively aimed at her fine tush in those short shorts.

News sites reporting that Affleck wants out on Batman completely, after stepping down as director a few weeks ago. DC cannot catch a break (not that I had high hopes for it, but their universe kinda depends on having some character consistency like Marvel's has had - minus Edward Norton).

DC should reboot. It's the only thing they know how to do.

I think they might survive replacing Affleck as long as the JLA movie is ok and whatever Batman movie comes next is really good, like up to the Bale trilogy in quality. Only then will they have a viable something/anything on which to build. After that they'll need a surprise breakout hit from the Harley Quinn movie (or another non-core 3 property) or it's going to be over before it even gets going.

They should cast Matthew Fox.
Seriously.
He basically played Racer X as one of the best Batmen ever.

I'm guessing they will pick someone of mixed race heritage to look progressive. Many will groan and roll their eyes at the obvious attempt to placate the social justice warriors. I don't really care who they pick, as long as the person can be the Bat.

The Lego Batman Movie is very likely the the greatest Batman movie yet.
It should be called The Lego Batman Movie: Easter Eggs Galore!
There are way too may hilarious jokes to remember.
I absolutely loved how EVERYTHING in Batman's history was in-continuity - from Detective Comics #27 to Adam West to Ben Affleck and everything in-between.
A few cameos, which I'll hide in case you haven't seen it yet and don't want to be spoiled: Egghead, Crazy Quilt, Polka-Dot Man, King Tut, the Mutant Leader, Gentleman Ghost, Clock King, Calendar Man, Condiment King, Apache Chief, Black Vulcan, Krypto the Wonder Dog, the Wonder Twins and Gleek.

Are they re-inventing the Joker origin story, or did the Michael Keyton Batman movie not get it right originally?

I like the idea that the Joker has never had an origin story, so really none of his origins are the real one.
And if that’s the case, then ALL his origin stories are the real one.
I wish DC could get their shit together better on the silver screen. This film isn’t tethered to any other continuity.
