I got the bestest Christmas gift ever!! It was a thank you note from Rob after I bought season tickets to DisneyWorld for his entire family and I even bought an extra ticket in case he wanted his favorite fan to go with. Which he gave to Jim Lee's niece. Okay, I didn't actually get the thank you note yet. But I know it's only because Rob is way too busy being an awesome artist to bother with stupid thank you notes. Pffft. But I bet he thought about sendin me one. And that's good enough for me. It's better than I deserve. High five Rob!!!
You need anything Rob? Wash your car? Cook you breakfast? Eggs benedict maybe? No? Need me to fondle your balls? Tickle your anus? Make you a nice fondue? I Love You Rob!!!

I recieved a little Walkman sized device for capturing the sound from cassette tapes and converting them into MP3 format. I can finally salvage recordings I made back in the 1980's.

I got a pair of furry slippers. And I got a microwavable wheat pillow because I'm old and full of aches.

Oh, and I got some weed. My step nephew heard that Christmas was stressing me out so he gave me a fat spliff. 8)
I have never read any of your posts, but from what I can learn I should say that for people who like the kind of posts you deliver, they are just the kind of posts such people like.

Getting old, so the hauls aren't as great, but I'm less picky. :)

My wife got me a Lynyrd Skynyrd shirt. (Old style--they were an excellent rock band before the plane crash, but the fucktards who use the name since are a mediocre country garage band. I refuse to think I'm wearing a mediocre country band's shirt.)

My daughter got me a JLA shirt with an old cover (forget the number--it's a group montage). And the Surfing (Adam West) Batman figure. :mabs:

My son got me popcorn, because he's three and picked out his presents himself. :)

My MIL and FIL both got me cash. The greatest gift of all, especially since she usually does weird shit like silverware we don't need or a shop vacuum.

One BIL got me a B&N gift card. (It's been Amazon every other year. Don't want to complain, but who goes to B&N anymore? I appreciate it and I'll use it anyway, but it's less useful on comics since I have this weird mentality that I spend gift cards same as cash and anally compare prices, and B&N never comes out on top. Maybe I'll wait until Twain's second autobiography gets remaindered.)

Another BIL (and SIL) got me a Superman tank top and briefs. One of those "not technically a gag gift" things, but, y'know, when would I wear them in public?

Third BIL got me a G.I.Joe shirt. It's awesome, don't get me wrong, but it's clearly designed by a non-fan who was told to make a montage of vintage card art and be sure to include Roadblock, Duke, and Snake Eyes. Duke's dead center, with Roadblock on his right, followed by Snake Eyes... Version 3, my personal favorite, but the uniform no one remembers. On Duke's left are Lt. Falcon and Barbecue, I'm guessing because Falcon looks kinda like Flint and Barbecue looks a lot cooler than he is.

Niece got me Jagermeister. Because she's 21 and kinda dumb and everyone got coffee or alcohol. Not a big Jagermeister guy, not even sure I've ever owned a bottle of my own, but, hey, liquor's liquor.

The latest Fables came in the mail on Christmas Eve. My gift to myself.

Stuff the kids and wife got that isn't mine but I can benefit from:
Wii Lego Harry Potter II
Wii Lego Lord of the Rings
Wii Lego Pirates of the Caribbean (completing the set!)
Wii Princes & the Frog (not anticipating this to be one I play a lot)
four assorted bottles of Stella Rosa
the Downton Abbey score CD (which my son found, still sealed, at a thrift store for a buck)
the Frozen soundtrack
the second two Disney's Greatest Hits CDs
Planes Blu-Ray
two cookbooks

From the in-laws: We got $200 each and an Applebee's gift card.

From my boss: $100 and a bottle of Sailor Jerry Rum. The $100 was gone within hours. Fucking car repairs.

Mom will be here in the morning, so I'll get more stuff then.

I've been wanting that shirt forever.
6dollarshirts.com
Well, it was $13.46 total - $8 for my 2X + $5.46 for shipping.
Money well spent, even if the shipping rate is snigtarded.

A Vader T & a small SW book by Shakespeare - kinda cute. I'm still at the beginning but it's funny enough. Red Wings toque for the big game next week. A couple of hockey books including one by our Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, about the beginnings of the Toronto Maple Leafs & professional hockey in Canada. It actually got really good reviews so I'll look forward to reading that one. Diablo III for PS3 which I can play cooperatively with Thomas, if he'll let me read the quests. If not I'll have to tie him him up & make him watch me play it properly, impatient little fucker.

santa brought us:
  • Wii U (as most of you know)
  • A Disney Infinity bundle: Starter Pack, Sidekicks pack (a set of three figures that go together with the three in the starter pack so two people can play each of the "play set" games), Frozen 2-pack, Vanellope figure, Jack Skellington figure
haven't got a lot of time with Disney Infinity, but it looks like a lot of fun - if it's also a money pit (new figures, new playsets, new power discs, etc...) i've been playing LEGO Marvel Superheroes like crazy though, it's freakin' awesome! the best LEGO game ever.

i got (xmas and birthday)
  • LEGO Winter Village Market
  • LEGO Galaxy Squad Hive Crawler (it was 50% off at Target and then there was another discount on top of it, it ended up being a $70 set for like $32!)
  • LEGO Galaxy Squad Galactic Titan (from my brother for Xmas)
  • LEGO Star Wars A-Wing Starfighter (from my brother for my birthday)
  • LEGO CUUSOO BTTF The DeLorean Time Machine (from my Brother-in-law's wife - we do a Secret Santa on both sides of the family)
  • a bunch of Minifigure packets and polybag sets in my stocking
  • combo Xmas/Birthday gift card to Timbuk2, for this new laptop bag:
    timbuk2_bag_500px.png
    timbuk2_bag_500px.png (129.26 KiB) Viewed 5953 times
  • Gift cards to Amazon, for a Tamron 18mm-200mm super-zoom lens
  • Pacific Rim DVD
  • The Wolverine DVD
Life is short. STUNT IT!

From mis padres (who weren't supposed to), we got a new electric griddle. We were going to exchange it, but upon examination it beats the crap out of the one we had.

I also got two more tees: the Abbey Road cover on black, and five Autobots (Bumblebee, Jazz, Optimus Prime, Hot Rod, and Grimlock) on red.

OYES!

I was wrong about my parents getting me a shirt. Instead, my father thought it would be a good idea to get my brothers and I remote control planes. Yeah, I didn't see that coming.
