Another new Batman animated TV show

You seen the advance info for the new show? I'll admit, I poo-poohed both The Batman and B&TB, but was trying to go in with an open mind, no matter how much I love B&TB.

It's CG. Not great CG, either.

Alfred uses a gun.

It will focus on obscure villains. While this could be a plus, they zeroed in on Professor Pyg from Grant Morrison's wankfest. I'd say "obscure" means the guys they use in the opening of B&TB, like Ten-Eyed Man.

Robin is not present. Batman's sidekick will be Katana from the Outsiders.

The title is "Beware the Batman."

At least Alfred doesn't shoot people in B&TB. I'm not sure you could get any further from the basis of the character. Sure, he has a military history, but he wouldn't use a gun out of respect for Bruce.

Like I said on Ye Olde Book of Faces, the final episode of the series was amazing. It was a finale that equals the "almost finale" of Arrested Development that parodies every stupid stunt a TV show may pull to get viewers (the one with the couple of seconds of live feed at the end).

I won't lie. The new Beware the Batman show sounds underwhelming, and the teaser image isn't doing much to change my opinion of it.

But, holy fucking shit, did you see what villain got top billing here? Sure, he's beating out punks like Magpie (snicker) and Professor Pyg (pure Morrisonwank).

I have this feeling that it's not the real deal, but the piece of shit knockoff version from Fabian Nicieza. Which would be the final nail in the coffin of this show based on all the advance info.

I mean, three of the best shows of all time are Batman shows. There are some high expectations right out of the gate.
