Anyone else here?

Took the kids to Disneyland today and we saw the extended preview currently occupying the Captain EO theater. It was basically the entire Morag scene (cutting off right before his one night stand shows up), cutting into one of the longer trailers (I think the UK one), that starts with Groot playing "Spirit in the Sky" and includes the entire "I have 12% of a plan" scene.

But it was in 3D, and used the sound, vibration, and lighting effects of the theater.

In short, fucking amazing. It'd kick ass to see the full movie in such a presentation.

4D or whatever. Yep, I would pay a bit more for that. We saw a small lego film as the lego park that had temperature controls & snow flying & stuff - kinda interesting.

Here's one for you.

I've seen some claims that Howard is a red herring and, if you look past him, you see Adam Warlock's cocoon (from when he was resurrected in IG, I assume) is open.

Personally, I'm not sure I buy it. One article on it (and I use the word "article" loosely) is here, but a higher resolution screen cap posted by a commenter here makes it pretty clear it's just smoke clearing.

I'd be more than fine if they leave Warlock out of the movies.

It is there. It is even in the Thor 2 mid-credit scene.

Ah. I haven't seen Thor 2. I guess we get some golden silliness after all.

I know nothing of the story of Adam Warlock. I'm going to go ahead & guess they're throwing that in there just to give nerds nerd boners and for no other reason - much like HtD.

It could lead to something. With Guardians being a huge hit and the ever expanding MCU, you never know. Hell, Adam Warlock and Nova could show up in the sequel or even their own flicks.

Said it before, will say it again. Howard needs to wind up on Earth somehow and have all sorts of crazy adventures involving the established heroes in the first R-rated Marvel movie.

From what I've gathered, Quill's father is going to be Starhawk from the original future GotG and not Warlock or J'Son of Spartax.

I want it to involve The Avengers & Thanos. Enough with the Hickman slow-boil.

I'm willing to bet Guardians 2 leads into Avengers 3.

And Quill's dad is probably an Inhuman of some kind, since Marvel seems to want to do an Inhumans movie.
