I have the older Sanctum set from a few years ago. You can flip it around and the backside is a non-descript pizza shop and a couple apts(it’s Peter’s apt but from outside it’s just a regular city facade). It fits quite well in between the bigger modular buildings to expand your city.
Getting that Modular version tho. Good thing I have a shit ton of VIP points saved up.

The fiance bought the Van Gogh Starry Night set and started building it tonight. It comes with a little Van Gogh minifig with an easle and paintboard. I joking referred to it as Pablo Picasso and then started singing a Pablo Picasso song to the tune of Barry Manilow’s Copa Cobana making the minifig dance to the music.
Somehow this makes me a monster. Lol.

Texted my fiancé the news about the $270 Bowser they’re doing as part of the Super Mario line.
She texted back “Those Assholes”
Because she’s going to have to buy it. Hahaha.

My Sanctum Sanctorum arrived today. Awwwww yissss.
Also got a Forest Hideout set as a freebie. It’s a throwback to the old vintage Castle sets with the green clad archers and highwaymen.

Bought the Lamborghini Countach set today. I’m not a completist on the Speed Champions sets, but damn didn’t every 80’s kid want a Lamborghini? It’s a very well put together set, too. A clever build that gives it that sleek look.
I’d really dig a K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider in this series.

yeah, the Speed Champions have been pretty incredible, how they can pack so much detail into such a small form factor, almost rivaling the large-scale vehicles. bumping the scale from 6-wide to 8-wide was the best decision they could have made, it really did give them a lot more to work with. the Lambo is pretty awesome, though white is a little boring:

Y’all remember Micro Machines? Like 1/5th the size of Matchbox/Hot Wheels? I only ever had one set of Micro Machines and I lost the other one soooo long ago. But I still have the other one(or most of it, missing the spoiler on the back), it’s a white Lambo.

Put this bad boy together over the weekend. Classic Space was my jam as a kid, so this was satisfying on a visceral level. I was slightly disappointed because I thought they had brought the classic 3-prong rocket element out of retirement for this set, but it’s a cleverly built recreation made out of bucket elements. The landing pads are sweet also. The sleeping berths are designed with the air tanks in mind, which is also sweet. Everything about it is sweet.
I WANT MORE CLASSIC SPACE!!

Lego Optimus Prime is 20% off at the Lego website, if anyone was on the fence about getting it.

I too purchased the galaxy explorer. Have put about 15 minutes in on it so far then went back to World of Warcraft. At least the little men are done.

It’s VIP weekend, so I ordered that Bowser set for my fiancée.
And I got two freeb sets, Winter Elves and Tribute to LEGO House, and also a small Dragon Ride set for exchanging 2400 VIP points. Since I got 3500 VIP points for the Bowser, that was basically three freebies.
