Uncle Phil from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air played Shredder in the original cartoon.

Yeah, but when they made the live action movie, they had the sense to cast an Asian dude. (No idea if he was Japanese or not, and too lazy to look.) And Uncle Phil sounded nothing like Shredder, so it wasn't exactly Mickey Rooney embarrassing life itself in Breakfast at Tiffany's (which, sorry Deep Blue Something, is a fucking boring movie).

Haw! I'm flipping channels tonight and on NCIS:LA this little asian dude is in a knife fight with LLCoolJ and Chris ODonnel. Holy shit, it's Ernie Reyes Jr. He's in his 40s now!

Though I still have no faith in this movie, the designs actually look quite good. Not sure how Donatello wears both glasses and goggles, but, otherwise, much better designs than I'm sure the film deserves.

One of the pics was of a pouty Megan Fox wearing nothing but a yellow tank top and a pair of hiking boots, sitting spread eagle, and using Mikey's nunchukas as a 'marital aid'. In both her holes.

I thought this movie was PG-13?

Eh, they have human eyes, lips, and tribal tattoos. It looks like they're trying too hard to make them realistic and kewl. Though I'm sure they could have been much, much worse.

For the shit I wasn't dozing through, I either wanted to walk out (at one point I did walk out, but only to use the restroom. But it was the elevator scene and I made a big production of getting up and leaving. Everybody cracked up.) or wanted to kick things.

Ten years from now, someone else will attempt to reboot the franchise yet again.

I read the CBR review, which had some spoilers. Despite it saying it got the characterizations right, the spoilers were so out-of-ass stupid any minor lingering interest I have is dead.

This still looks dumb as hell, but it's trying harder to emulate the cartoon with its goofiness. Tyler Perry as Stockman, a pretty fun looking Bebop and Rocksteady, and Casey Jones.
And is it weird I appreciate they're wearing pants and each have they're own style?

That looks as stupid as the first one.

Never saw the first, but I seemed to be in a very small minority in that I thought the Turtles looked quite good.

In a refreshing change of pace, the movie is about the Turtles coming out of hiding, meeting April, and saving the city.
I would say I mildly chuckled at a couple of the jokes. And that’d be generous with the words ‘mildly chuckled’

The animation style is interesting. Not good or bad. Just interesting.
