Here’s a fucked up movie premise I thought of last week.
It’s a typical high school movie with a bunch of cliches and tropes like they’re trying to save Prom, or the nerdy girl is trying to get the most popular guy to notice her, etc. whatever. But not a spoof/parody, just like a legit John Hughes type 80s comedy.
Until like the last 15 minutes, when it becomes a school shooting and like 80% of the main characters die while the cops are fumbling around outside. Then it just ends. Fucking dead silence while the end credits roll.

That's pretty messed up. You wouldn't even have to spend much on advertising because once the ending came out, political parties and 24 hour news channels would do it for you.

Sad to say, that's fucking brilliant.

Some movies should never be remade/rebooted and Princess Bride is definitely on that list but….
(Hear me out)
Several years from now, when Fred Savage is old enough to be a grandfather, you have him reading the story to his granddaughter. And the movie is almost exactly the same. Except the little girl is interrupting differently at different times during the telling, so there’s opportunity to make the movie slightly different. Because maybe she would be more invested in Buttercup as the protagonist or whatever. But apart from that, it’s just the same movie.

I disagree. Since Disney owns both, they should remake it with Muppets. I thought this before it became a viral meme. I know others who also came up with it independently. It just works so well, it's an obvious no-brainer.
Carey Elwes (the only human) as the Grandfather
Robin as Fred Savage
Kermit as Westley
Piggy as Buttercup
Bunsen and Beaker as Miracle Max and his wife
Sweetums as Fezzik
Rizzo as Fezzini
The Electric Mayhem as the Boo Lady (ie, Animal screams boo, Janice has her other lines, and the rest agree, and maybe turn it into a song because Muppets)
Gonzo as Humperdinck
Fozzie as the Albino
Etc. Etc. So many just fall so obviously into various roles. Some could be several possibilities (like Rizzo as a smart aleck ROUS). Rugen is the only one who doesn't immediately come to mind.

Pepe as Inigo. ‘You kiiled my father, hokay? Prepare to die, hokay.’
