Football

most tv sucks these days, but there are some shining examples of good writing, acting, camera work, etc... we call those Deadwood and Arrested Development. Family Guy sucks ass, though...

So, a potential preview of the Super Bowl is going on right now (Niners/Ravens) and I have to sit thru The who-gives-a-fuck Packers/Giants game.

Wow. Admittedly, it’s a long shot scenario, but the Bills still have a chance of winning the Division!

Buffalo final four games are Ravens Steelers Pats Jets. Obviously Ravens will beat them, but wins against the Steelers and Jets are very doable. So they just have to beat the Pats in that second to last game.

NE’s final four games are Chiefs Bengals Bills Phins. You guys need to root like hell for Mahomes and co and then take care of business....

Shit, would that make you and them tied in Division wins, Conference wins and split head to head. Awww...no. They have you in games in common since they beat the Browns and Eagles...

Damn. Well maybe the Bengals can do you guys a big favor and surprise the entire League. But doubtful.

I'm just going to assume the BIlls get a wild card, but...

https://twitter.com/JaySkurski/status/1 ... 6221982720
For #Bills fans dreaming of an AFC East title, here’s what has to happen (Assuming a Buffalo win over NE in Week 16):

- If BUF wins out, Pats need to lose once (NE plays KC next week).

- If BUF loses once, Pats need to lose twice (a tough ask, since they also play CIN & MIA).
There is one more, less likely scenario: If the Bills beat the Patriots and Jets, and the the Patriots lose to the Bills and Dolphins and finish with the same record as Buffalo, the Bills would win the second tiebreaker, which is AFC East record.

Almost assuredly the wild card, then. Still great - going to be a fucking Catalina wine mixer in Orchard Park!

When your football team loses 4 Super Bowls and your hockey team loses a Stanley Cup and a couple conference finals, you learn not to get overly excited about a single win.

I know Detroit didn’t go into the season looking to tank, but at this point I’m hoping they lose out and the Falcons, Dolphins, and Skins all pull at least one more win each. Hell, in a perfect world, the Giants too, but everyone would have to win and lose to exactly the right opponents for that to happen.

Top 3-5 Draft Pick is the consolation prize for another shitty season.

The Bills have more wins in Met Life Stadium than the Giants. Buffalo beat the Jets and Giants there.

Still shocked that the Dolphins beat the Eagles. The Jets are the first team to lose to two 0-7 or worse teams in the same season.

That Lions' 3rd string QB started off well vs. the Bears, but they shut him down in the 2nd half.

They'll just piss it away like they always do.
Fucking joke of a team.

Thanks to the Cardinals and Giants winning today.

Can the Giants beat the Redskins and/or the Eagles over the next two weeks?
Can the ‘Skins beat the Giants and/or the Cowboys?
Can the Dolphins beat the Bengals or...can they beat the Bengals?

They each just gotta win only once more. That’s it. One measly victory each and Detroit gets the #2 draft pick after Cincinnati. I’m assuming they shit the bed like they’ve done the last 8 weeks and lose to Denver and GB but they’ll probably fuck it up and beat both teams. They cant even lose correctly.

I think the Giants and Dolphins can beat Washington and Cincy. Not sure Washington can get another win. Then again, who knows which Cowboys team will show up.

Bills clinched a playoff spot. I'm excited, and I'd wager that Newsbot is, too.

For our fantasy football league, I built some trophies using old McFarlane and Starting Line-up figures. For the championship trophy, the winner gets to put a little name plate on it with their team name and the year. I won in 2018 and just finally got around to ordering my nameplate off of amazon. What I didn't realize until after I put the order in was that it is coming from China and it is going to take a month to get here. Anyway, I'm assuming the nameplate comes with free coronavirus.

Watched bits and pieces of the Draft. Not nearly as much as I usually watch. It seemed like half of the players drafted had a father and/or uncle that played in the NFL or at the same college they went to. The other half had a parent or grandparent they were close to die in the past few years. I don't know if this is normal, or if they didn't have anything else to talk to because all of the pro days and media events to interact with the draft class were cancelled.

When I read about Patrick Mahomes $503 Million extension, I literally thought they had missed a decimal point in the title.
Doesn’t signing for that much all but guarantee he’s gonna tear his ACL or something in the next six months?
