Mel Gibson is a douchy douche. Seriously.

And I had no desire to see this movie because Mel is a douche and the trailer looked stupid and I had HEARD there wouldn't be subtitles and there was no way I was going to invest that much thought into trying to translate the emotions of a bunch of naked people in a douchy Mel Gibson movie.

But my friends wanted to go see it, so I was like whatever and i went annnnd....

It was good, Not like rock your socks off awesome. But it was like a Period Piece Commando movie without Shwarzenegger. And the occasional boobie.

Was it another Jesus metaphor? I thought I heard that it was. Seems like Mel thinks a lot about Jesus when he pissed..... which seems to be pretty much all the time at this point.

Isn't everything a Jesus metaphor? Short plot synopsis: There's a guy. He lives a simple life of a hunter in his village. he has a wife. A child. His father is the chief. Bad guys come, kill his father and enslave the village. He hides his wife and kid in a cave. Then he gets caught. They take them all to the big city for sacrifice. He escapes. He runs through the jungle, back to his wife and child. The bad guys chase him. He goes all Rambo on them, using his jungle survival skills to whup ass. Twist ending makes you think. He goes and lives in the jungle with his wife and kid.

I can't wait for the 30 second bunny-o-vision version of Apocalypto.
