Anyone else playing any of these? I've been on Final Fantasy XI for about 4 months, and have recently downloaded the free 10 day trial of World of Warcraft to try it out... they're pretty fun, kinda like D&D with the computer acting as the Dungeon Master.
Of course there are tons of other games out there.... anyone using anything like this?

i steer clear of them because i know i would get too wrapped up and lose track of real life.

I barely have a life as it is, so there is no way I'd get caught up playing any of 'em.

You dickfaces have no lives anyway so you may as well sign up and lock yourself in a room and play for thirteen days straight and starve to death like that stupid asshole I read about in USA Today. Fuckers.

Negative Boy, have you ever gone by the name "Dominic Guglieme"?

One of my bros-in-law has gotten hooked on World of Warcraft over the past few weeks since I saw him last. I watched him play a bit. I would be totally addicted if I allowed myself to play. It's like beautifully animated, almost boundless Dungeons in Dragons in real time with a bazillion other players.
I think it would be funny, though, if we all gave in to the temptation and created a team called The Vynsaniacs. (Even moreso if vyn isn't a member, just to confuse everyone else!)

Anyone hear of Maplestory? It is a free MMOG. it is side scrolling. Pretty good, considering it is free.

You guys all laugh and make jokes - I'm here to tell you that goddamned World of Warcraft is nearly as addictive as crack. I'm lucky - damn lucky, in fact - to have faced my addiction head on and lived to tell the tale. Jodi was (and I'm not kidding) ready to unhook my computer and give it away so that I'd have to stop playing.
All that being said, if anyone else here wants to join up, I might still have the game on my PC someplace.....

I wasn't joking.
I could tell from watching for about thirty minutes that, were I to allow myself to play, I'd forego air and food for it. But probably not sex.

I stated away from WoW because it looked too addicting and I don't want to pay the monthly fee.
But, if you guys want to play Maplestory, it is free and you can create guilds. The initial download is 600MB.

What the hell is Maplestory? I just see insane commercials every so often. Or I did. I don't think I've seen any in a few weeks, maybe months.
