List of things that are boring in comparison to WoW

This goddamned game is not a good thing - of that I can be sure at this point. I was able to get away from it for nearly a year, but have spent pretty much the last month making up for lost time. Things that have fallen by the wayside since re-succumbing to its charms include:

- reading comics
- reading books
- watching tv shows
- watching movies
- interest in going to work or doing any work when I'm there (but that might not count because it was boring before too)
- posting at forums
- writing Christmas cards
- exercising in any way shape or form, mainly because I do that in the morning and have been exhausted from going to bed at 12:30 or 1:00 instead of my usual 10:00 or 10:30

Now I'm sitting here with a stockpile of recent comics to read that would choke a paper shredder, an extra 5lbs (give or take another 5), a pissed-off wife, and $35 on my credit card bill that I can't get back..... and it doesn't look like it's going to end there.

I'd love to stay here and chat about this, but I'm feeling compelled to go and work on raising m blacksmithing skill to 200 so that I can become an artisan and make a bunch more virtual money.

Having lived with a WoW-addicted roommate for an entire semester, you must stop NOW if you ever want to see the light of day again. Delete your account, uninstall the game, and fucking break the CD-ROM into a million pieces. DO IT.

I've never actually played WOW, but I've watched a friend play it.
And it looks like the most boring thing ever.
It takes forever and a day to get anywhere or do anything.

Yeah WoW is a very hard game to break from. I have been wow-free for... hmm 4 months, before that I was free from it for 1 year just about. People at work had just gotten into it so I had to step in and explain this and that and before you know it I was playing with them... so I had to stop. I think the draw to me was the social aspect when playing at times and PVP. Fight it dude, If you were in the same spot I was I know your wife must hate that game as well. I swear it makes you wish you could just leave in a cave alone and play the damn thing and nothing else. Yup thats how the world ends, in like serentiy, "they just sat there, they stopped caring, they stopped eating.. they just gave up and died." Yeah its all from WoW.

The main thing keeping me from playing WoW is the monthly fee. That and the time it seems to take. Santa might bring me Warcraft III which should take care of my hacking and slashing needs. If not, I'll start Diablo II again.

My former roommate would sell his accounts for crazy kinds of money - one time he got $700, another $1000, I think, and he was trying to sell one near the end for $1500. I don't know what's worse - him for selling it, or whatever dipshits paid that kind of fucking money to be good at a goddamn video game. I always thought he'd stop after selling one (that was his original intent, it seemed), but the tard just kept on going, failing at least one class in the process.
