...organizations who have some goal you agree with, but who are insane?
I think PETA is the poster child for this type of organization. I think we can all agree that people should be nice to animals. But shit like pouring paint over people in fur coats, wearing KKK outfits to dog shows, etc, is just way beyond the pale.
I just found this one, too. They're attacking Scholastic for including non-books in their school book clubs. Uh, folks, stop acting like it's something new. That was the way they did things when I was in elementary school. But the page I linked to directly above is the best. "Worst toy of the year." An $80 Barbie that's clearly meant for adult collectors, or Lego Batman? Wow. I'd like my kid's life to not be one massive exposure to brand names and ads, but isn't that a little much?
