WHAT THE FUCK? Shipping is 65% of the price of the item and almost $40?!?

Honestly, man, I can understand why stores don't carry as many large items as they used to, since they get more profit from the large number of small items that are the same shelf space as one large item. So they offer larger stuff as online exclusives.

But, rather than charge ridiculous shipping prices, why don't all stores that do that offer free shipping to their brick-and-mortar locations? I have a feeling they won't sell too many at that price, with that shipping.

My mom has had the same problem. She wanted to buy bigger toys for the kids online, but the shipping was crazy. She shopped around and either found it in a store or would have it shipped to the store and bring it here herself.

Yeah, I wasn't posting it to find a deal (I know I can get that or others cheaper) so much as to say, "What the fuck is Toys R Us thinking?"

Maybe they are doing what some contractors do. When they don't want to do something, they jack the price way up.

My wife bought a cheap wooden toy box, painted it, and put padding on the lit so it could be used as a seat. She's into the sewing/craft stuff so it matches everything else in the room.

Hell, if high shipping works for Ebay, why not TRU?
