Beware the Lego Men.

For the third time since 2007, a Lego Man, featuring the message, "No Real Than You Are" emblazoned on his chest, has washed ashore, this time in Siesta Key, Fla.

Lest you think it's a promotion for Florida's newly-opened Legoland, the Lego company has distanced itself from the mystery, telling the Sarasota Herald-Tribune they want no part of Lego Man. The newspaper also reported that the name on Lego Man's back, "Ego Leonard" is reportedly the name of a Dutch artist, whom reporters contacted via email and got the following response:

"I am glad I crossed over. Although it was a hell of a swimm [sic]," the email said. "Nice weather here and friendly people. I think I am gonna stay here for a while. A local sheriff escorted me to my new home."

Leonard also has "No Real Than You Are," on his website, which features a giant Lego Man.

If nobody claims Lego Man from the police within 90 days, he will go to resident Jeff Hindman, who found the big fellow while walking on the beach this week. Hindman said that he would put it on eBay.

First off, nice grammar Ego. In today's modern world of free translation apps, there's no excuse for 'No real than you are'.

Secondly, what a waste of bricks.

Thirdly, your feeble performance art attempt to make me stop and think about its symbolism of the human condition failed. All it made me think was my second point above.

I saw an article about this last night. The other two were found in Denmark and the UK. If you really want an 8 foot Lego man, maybe can just start walking the beaches more frequently and hope for the best.

I'd love an eight foot Lego gigantofigure. Not with fish poop all over it though.

Fish poop tastes the same as regular poop.

Parrot fish poop is what makes white sand beaches. FACT!

And how does a robot know what anything tastes like?

for some reason he was programmed to know what everything's poop tastes like. thankfully that knowledge hasn't really been very necessary up to this point.

Oh please. I constantly hear humans saying 'This tastes like shit. That tastes like shit.'
I cannot believe such a grandiose display of hyperbole and metaphors is being slung around unless the majority of you have, in fact, sampled poop in some culinary fashion.

So don't make it like I'm a deviant shit eating freak when you've all shoveled feces into your portholes. It's hypocritical and unseemly of your species as a whole.

Shiteaters.
