What is the appeal of touchscreens?

Just curious. Everyone's apeshit about them.
The way I see it, they're clunky, overly sensitive, prone to breakage, don't work well with some people's fingers, and just look icky when they have fingerprints on them. One of the main reasons I won't get a smartphone is that they all have touchscreens.

I have to admit that when I saw another post in the Rants section, I was hoping it was Rollo posting another mostly naked hot chick.
Touchscreen technology will improve. You may as well get used to them.

I feel like this is the third or fourth time you've posted this rant.

no, it's just one rant, but he's doing it from an iPad and hit the 'submit' button a few too many times by mistake.
