Chayote

I'd never heard of chayote until recently. Then the store we get most of our veggies at had them on sale dirt cheap and we picked some up, then found some recipes for them.
They're fucking awesome. They're so awesome, they also call them "merlitons" in cajun cooking.
If I ever become a vegetable, I want to be a chayote.
