#1: If you are married or in a committed relationship, and happy to be so, and you leave the house to go into public looking like you put even the slightest bit of work into not looking like a slob, you WILL get attention from women who are so hot they would never before have given you the time of day, in the form of "I'm not exactly hitting on you, but I'm making it obvious you could fuck me silly with very little effort on your part."

(Seriously, where the hell were these women when I was single? They missed out!)

It is the confidence that fidelity brings to you that is alluring. The moment you became single again and showed the slightest bit of anxiety about dating and all that shizzle those same women would evaporate faster than the funny in my posts. Also, women are whores. It's their default setting.

#2: When it comes to something you collect and you see one at the store that you're not sure if you have yet or not - if you buy it, you'll have it at home. If you skip if, you'll need it (and never see it again).

This applies to any time you pass on the item, for any reason. Even something like "I'm on vacation and don't have room in my suitcase." (True story; stopped by a mall on the way to an airport to fly home once, and saw a half dozen Ree-Yees and Death Star Troopers at KB. Passed, and they became two of the hardest to find figures ever.)

Both Diabolical's and anarky's scenarios have happened to me multiple times. In fact, if I'm at the store with my wife and I'm being indecisive about getting something new (as described in anarky's story) she will remind me that there is a chance I won't see it again.
