DVD Burning problems

computers are cool - they are the reason you are here right now! Hopefully, JJReason can build one and prove once and for all, Canadians are somewhat intelligent.

DVD Burning problems

Post by Diabolical »

I'm trying to make copies of some dvds and am having trouble ([frus]).
I got copies of DVD Decrypter to copy the disc to the hard drive and Intervideo DVDCopy 4 to burn from a coworker. He uses it all the time and never has any problems.
Most of the time the disc burns slower than all hell. At the rate it's burning it would probably take over 24 hours to burn a disc (but I've never let go that long).
Other times, it'll burn one fairly quick (in about an hour or so).

So far, I've burned 3 discs and wasted 6.

Anyone have any idea what the problem could be?
Anyone know of any better programs I could use?

I use DVD Shrink, and it copies a full movie disc with extras in about 2hrs. Some things haven't worked though due to copyright protection.

I use Shrink with Decryptor and I can get the average disc done in about 15 to 20 minutes...then awhile back I started having troubles with all new DVDs so I added AnyDVD to my computer and I've been copying all kinds of new discs without any problems.

And um, these are all backups of my personal collection, of course...
