Stupid kids' show questions

most tv sucks these days, but there are some shining examples of good writing, acting, camera work, etc... we call those Deadwood and Arrested Development. Family Guy sucks ass, though...

Stupid kids' show questions

Post by anarky »

1) Where the fuck is Kermit on Sesame Street? Is Miss Piggy afraid he'll start cheating on her with Maria?

2) So the Dinosaur Train show, there's a T Rex who lives with a family of Pteranodons in the late Cretaceous, and they ride a time-traveling train to meet dinosaurs in other times and places. So, when they finally got around to explaining fossils, when one of them found a fossilized skeleton, why did none of them freak out about the fact that, in their time, all their friends were dead?

Kermit doesn't live on Sesame Street. He just visits from time to time.

I thought Kermit was only a special reporter back in the day. Was he ever actually on the set of Sesame Street, or was he just some sort of field reporter? Last time I saw Sesame Street, there was more of a set format and it was mostly about Elmo, Ernie, Big Bird, and Cookie Monster.

When I was a youngling, I seem to recall Kermit being on Sesame Street every now and then, usually in those pre-taped bits they'd use over and over (I guess it's all pre-taped, but you know what I mean). But I never associated him with the Sesame Street group, which includes the aforementioned Big Bird, Elmo, Ernie, Bert, Grover, Cookie Monster, and so on.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

If that's the case, and you're about 10-15 years younger than most of the rest of us, maybe they phased him out slowly?

I actually saw Kermit today, in a musical number with Keb' Mo'. Admittedly, I don't know how old this was, but Keb' had gray hair, so I'm guessing within the last few years.

Did Kermit ever actually show up on Sesame Street? I don't mean the show, I mean the actual street where they all "live".

Also, to whom it may concern, hurry the fuck up with Muppet Show Season 4 already...

I don't recall ever seeing him in the actual Sesame Street set. When he did appear, it was in an interview setting, or "on the scene" doing a Newsflash from some fairytale themed location.
