Anyhow - putting this out there. Pegger and I are formally requesting help from you guys for the KMART packs - Ewoks & ATST Drivers or whatever, as well as the Speeder Bike and the Ewoks multi-pack from TRU.

IF the TRU shit shows up here I will cancel this request here. Any helpin', as always, would be hot.

There's a Target three-pack called "Return of Darth Maul" or something like that. It has Maul, a Nightsister (really, we finally get fucking Nightsister figures, and have to buy this shit to get them?), and Fanfic Oppress.

Get this: The packaging actually says this figure is the "First Appearance!" of Darth Maul! This isn't even the first time the stupid cyborg Maul has been made.

I honestly think Lucasfilm held a clandestine contest to find the worst fanfic writers out there, and are trying to see how much fans will let them get away with on this show. But that's beside the point. "First Appearance!" Darth Maul? Holy shit.

The Nightsister figure was originally going to be a Sith Witch, or a concept Darth Maul, or Mighella, or something, but it was put here instead and renamed even though it's not completely accurate to the character in the show.

This is the first time that "First Appearance" sticker/nametag/whatever-it-is has appeared anywhere; it doesn't say "Character Debut," which is what's been going on actual first-time figures (and appears for the Nightsister figure). The "First Appearance" applies to the fact that this figure is first appearing in this set and then later being repacked into the basic Clone Wars line early next year. And though they did have a realistic cyborg Maul from the Owen Lars comic pack in 2009, this is the first Clone Wars version. I guess it could be confusing, but technically it's true - it's the first appearance of the figure, not the character.

Has anyone already gotten JJReason's stuff? If not, I could. TRU is having a BOGO 50% sale this week, and the figure packs are available at both TRUs near me. (The Kmart packs aren't out yet, from what I've seen.)

Hey, Canadian fucks! I was only able to get one each of the TRU Ewok and Yavin Pilot sets, so the search continues. The Ewoks dried up since last week, and I haven't seen any of the other stuff at all. Now you know.

Saw "lost line" Jar Jar. He looks decent. But TRU was having a BOGO sale, and he was the only non-CW SW figure, and it seemed like I was getting ripped off to not take advantage, so I passed. (Yeah, I know. It's just a weird hang-up of mine.)

I honestly felt a bit shocked that someone bought all the fucking Clonetroopers in the set, as well as the Leia, over the first decent new figure of Jar Jar in a decade or more.

I got the Ewok 2-pack from Kmart today. It was the only one they had. It was $15. For some reason, I expected for it to be more.

By the way, the picture on the package shows the dark gray ewok with the stone ax and the tan ewok with the club. When I oped it, they were packed the opposite way.

Vader has been the best seller out of this wave from what I've seen, with Jar Jar probably the most prevalent. I guess people still aren't big with the Binks. At any rate, at least some post-TPM figures are finally making it to the stores in decent numbers, and hopefully the warehouses will work backwards through their old stock and meet the demand on earlier waves as well.

The BOGO is going for almost a full month so maybe your store will get something else in. I went a little nutty today and got 14 army builders at a few different TRUs.

Oh, and I got the last of the stuff for JJReason and Pegger today. So the rest of you can fuck the fuck off.

Seriously, the fucking hole in the wall tried to compete with the new Super WM across the street... by cutting its hours back to 7AM - 7PM (6PM on weekends). In other words, they open way before anyone expects and close when people might actually need to go.
