Aye, you are correct, sir. I have them all grouped together on my shelves (along with other post-ROTJ EU figures) but I just couldn't remember those two.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

Stopped at TJ Maxx and TRU today. TJ Maxx had Saga Legends figures for $5. I briefly considered buying the Stormtrooper.

TRU has a BOGO 50% off sale on SW. We still have $9 in rewards money. Might go back this weekend to get the Speeder Bike. I'll probably skip the 50% off part because I don't think there is anything else I want.

Hasbro just announced The Black Series, a new line of super articulated, highly detailed 6" figures aimed at collectors - so it's basically Marvel Legends for Star Wars. The first wave includes X-wing Pilot Luke, R2-D2, Darth Maul, and a Sandtrooper. I imagine some eyebrows will be raised when Lando and Mace are included in The Black Series, but there you go.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

Yeah, I'm going to be all over those. Can't wait to display the five or six that are actually made with my Jedi Force, Force Battlers, Epic Force, Unleashed, and all the other aborted mid-size lines from over the years!

Y'know, that might actually be cool. Pick a character (most likely Vader) and display all the versions from prematurely-canceled lines together.

That Luke actually looks pretty nice, but don't think I'll buy this new line. My wife already puts up with my 3.75" Star Wars, GI Joe, and Legos. We don't have much space and I don't want to start an arguement about the money.

...unless I can get her to think it is her idea to buy me a few.

I made a similar comment at the other site, and it doesn't appear to be popular.

I can't fathom how anyone can be excited about this line, particularly given how poorly-chosen the first wave is. Twenty bucks a pop, twice as big as the figures you have a thousand or so of. If Unleashed couldn't stay afloat (it was doing well--the only reason it was canceled is because it didn't experience the same proportional growth in 2005 that other SW lines did, because the kids who wanted movie tie-in shit and blew up the other numbers didn't want the big figures who cost three times as much as the little ones), this is doomed before it starts. Not trying to put a spin on it; I think they look good, but there's no way this succeeds long-term unless they're hoping for and willing to accept much smaller sales numbers than on the 3.75" lines.

Yes. Cool, but not practical.

With the 3.75" line, they have the vintage nostalgic thing with the modern figures. I can't see the late 30- and early 40-somethings going for these things in mass.

The only thing I'd consider buying right now that wasn't 3.75" scale would be a 12" Boba Fett because I had one as a kid. When the Hasbro Vintage 12" version came out, I almost bought it, but decided not to. It is one of those that I know I could buy one and be "done" collecting. He would probably sit on a shelf I have on my side of the walk-in closet.

There is no way I can justify spending $20 on a new 6" line only to have it sit in a box in the garage with a bunch of shitty out of date POTF2 figures I've hoarded over time.

The verbal gymnastics elsewhere are rather amusing. A few people have convinced themselves that Vader's not in Wave 1 because they want to "pull out all the stops" and make an "amazing" Vader.

Yeah, like that one month of production time will make that much difference.

I figured it was because they were gonna make him the Build-A-Figure for Wave 1/Wave 2.

"Hey kids! If you want the ONLY VADER we'll ever make in this series, you need to buy all 8 figures in the first two waves!! PS Wave 2 is Jar Jar, Mon Mothma, Y'arna, and Cruise Missile Trooper!!"

So people are still trying to apologize for Hasbro's choices?

I would be hard pressed NOT to buy an awesome Vader in that scale. X-Wing Luke looks really great. I said previously I had no interest, but that's a much better looking product than I was envisioning.

It's a slippery slope. You say you'll only buy Vader. But then you buy a couple Stormtroopers to go with him. Then you say I'm only gonna get a few of the main ANH characters like Luke, Han, Leia, Ben, the Droids, etc. Then you'll want the Boba Fett because he looks nice. Then you'll get a few peripheral characters. Then you'll start in on the main Prequel characters. Then you'll want Kit Fisto and Plo Koon because they look pretty sweet. By then they'll be rereleasing a better ANH Han and Luke and an R2 that has all his widget attachments. Then youll want the big ass Jabba deluxe figgy for $45. And then Slave Leia will be a mailaway if you buy 10 figures and you kinda want a couple extra Clone Troopers and a Lando and a few Bounty Hunters anyway...

Pretty soon, you turn around and you've dropped $10k because the figures are $20 a pop and you say what the fuck happened!?!
