Football

most tv sucks these days, but there are some shining examples of good writing, acting, camera work, etc... we call those Deadwood and Arrested Development. Family Guy sucks ass, though...

That was depressing as fuck. They couldn't even rally enough nuts to beat a bad Bengals team in order to keep the playoff dream alive. I think he needs to go. :(

Raiders and Colts already fired their coaches.

And, the longest playoff drought in any North American professional sports league is now over because...

THE BUFFALO BILLS HAVE MADE THE PLAYOFFS!!!!!! WOOOO!!!

OH HELL YES :beard:

In case you are wondering, the Seattle Mariners now have the longest playoff drought in North American sports.

That’s wicked. Congrats.

I like how the Bills sent the Bengals a thank you note and the promise of wings.

Fucking Marvin Lewis & the Bengals were Grim Reapers 2 weeks in a row. What way to go out of the league. ><

Next seasons matchups are out.
The NFC North, in addition to playing each other twice, play the AFC East(Bills, Pats, Fins, and Jets) and the NFC West(Niners, Cards, Rams, and ‘Hawks) and each team plays one of the NFC South and East team. Lions get the Panthers and Cowboys.

That is a rough fucking schedule.

Bills play the AFC South (Jags, Titans, Texans, Colts), NFC North, and the Chargers & Ravens.

Bills fans have been going nuts since last night. Hundreds met the team when they landed last night. Andy Dalton's charity has been getting tons of $17 donations from Bills fans. And, the Bills are sending chicken wings to the Bengals.

I think the Bengals are going to move on from Andy Dalton as well. There were times he was looking like the guy, but those days are in the past.

Conventional Wisdom says the AFC is gonna come down to the Pats and Steelers, with the Pats going to the SB. And I didn’t really have a horse in that Titans/Chiefs game.

But that was a damn entertaining game. Mariota throwing a touchdown...TO HIMSELF!! An epic comeback for the Titans, and the Chiefs continue their playoff losing streak at home. Six playoff losses at home going back to the 90s. Rough.

Andy Reid looks like he has aged 20 years in the last, well I guess 20 years. No big deal then now that I actually sound it out.... but these playoff losses must be killing him. Poor old Wilfrid Brimley looking son of a bitch.

I didn't see much of the KC/Titans game. When I read the part about Mariota throwing a pass to himself, I went to the box score. Sure enough, it says: Marcus Mariota passed to Marcus Mariota to the left for 6 yard touchdown (Ryan Succop made PAT). I switched over to NFL Network and saw the highlight.

The pregame show is on. I'm pacing around the room waiting for the Bills game to start. The experts all picked Jacksonville to win. Then again, USA Today's expert thought the Bills would go 4-12 this year. Well. Kickoff time. Let's Go Buffalo.

Buffalo hung in there until the end. They had a great first half. Fitting that the game ends on a Peterman interception.

Yes, Peterson getting picked off does seem appropriate.

Bills fans don't really like the teams offensive coordinator. On my last check during the 3rd quarter of the Buffalo message board I go to, there were 2 active threads demanding that he was fired. I'll wait a while before I go back in there. They get a bit...emotional.
