If you want to see some intensely crazy cinematography work, go see this movie. The director would do these incredible "one take" shots that go on for minutes with all this stuff happening. The acting from Clive Owen and the story are great also, but the shooting/editing will blow you away.
If you've seen it, from the time Clive Owen wakes up in the backseat of the car and does the ping pong thing, to the time Chiwotle kills the two cops is ALL ONE CONTINUOUS SHOT. Amazing.
When Clive Owen, the gypsy, and the girl walk through the door in to the room where she has the baby, until the baby is born, ONE CONTINUOUS SHOT.
When they walk out of the tunnel going to get the boat, through all the shooting up until he finds her in the room upstairs, is ONE CONTINUOUS SHOT.
Now I know, clearly that this was done with digital trickery to some extent, but the staging of it adds to the realism of actually being there. The camera never looks away. Its brilliant.
Oh and the guy getting swatted with a car battery is nice.
