HOLLYWOOD, CA-AP Network executives at CBS Studios announced early Friday morning that intergalactic despot and occasional Superman villian, Mongul the Merciless would be getting a half hour episodic sitcom this fall.
In a special presentation at CBS Television City in Hollywood, Lance Geurin, spokesman for the Network made the announcement to a small press corps. Also in attendance were the producers of the show and Mr. Merciless himself. "We felt that the time was right for this type of show." said Geurin "And Mongul has said that he's wanted to work in this medium for quite some time." Mongul also added "I figure if Brad Garrett can get a TV show with absolutely no talent, then I have a shot."
The show, entitled "Everybody Loves Mongul" will showcase sketches from the super-villain's stand-up routine, focusing on his home life and his relationship with his fucking bitch of a wife, who will be played by Patricia Heaton, and his parents, who will be superimposed gonorrhea cells in a petrie dish. "It's really quite funny stuff" said Will Feshburg, the show's Executive Producer "and sometimes Mongul will be to his wacky old tricks like blowing up Coast City, or reigning down interstellar terror."
Patricia Heaton, best known for being in the Guiness Book of World Records as having the longest consecutive menstruation cycle going on for 56 years straight now will basically just show up and play herself while the cameras roll. When asked if she was excited about her latest role she said "ROOOOAAARRRR! FUCK YOU ! FUCK OFF! FUCK YOU!" and then killed our cameraman. She then wandered into a nearby hospital's Natal wing and ate several raw babies.
The series will premiere with back to back episodes on Monday Nights, then fall into a series of random schedule changes designed to frustrate loyal viewers.
