i haven't watched TV in i don't know how long...

most tv sucks these days, but there are some shining examples of good writing, acting, camera work, etc... we call those Deadwood and Arrested Development. Family Guy sucks ass, though...

seriously. i can't remember the last time i sat down consciously to watch a show that i wanted to watch. the only tv i see these days is when i walk past the little lady while she's watching survivor or apprentice or something. other than that, she flips it on when we're getting ready to go to work, usually something on "food network - on demand," but i can't for the life of me remember the last time i sat down to watch a tv show. anytime i turn on the tv, it's followed by the gamecube, although that's far and few between, as well. am i by myself here, or is tv less appealling to anyone else...

I pretty much only watch the local news, the Red Wings, and football on Sundays. Everything is just one tired "reality" show after another. I was into the "Amazing Race" for some reason, but I quickly got over that. I used to like "Navy NCIS", but I have class on Tuesday nites now and get home ten minutes before it ends.

As for the Food Network, I'm jealous, vyn. My wife and I used to watch that constantly, but our current cable service doesn't offer it. Rachel Ray is hot.

Rachel Ray is a little hottie, but methinks Giada deLaurentis is even hotter. Plus she just loves to wear low-cut blouses and bend over her cooking.

And Mrs Anarky thinks I'm only interested in learning to cook authentic Everyday Italian. [beard]

Damn, good find Chux. I'd never seen her before, so I had to Google it.

Google (image) search Rachel Ray. I didn't know she did a spread in Stuff magazine. Good shit!

WHA?!?!?

I thought the only time she posed like so was in my dream. I'll have to check that out when I get home.

(In my dream, which is one of those "so fucking weird you have to share" dreams, my brother comes to me asking if I know where he can find naked pics of Rachel Ray. He then shows me a full-page ad of her wearing some skimpy lingerie with the caption, "You tell your wife you want to cook a delicious meal in thirty minutes or less. But I know why you really watch.")

Shut up, fucknut.

CS1138, I ran the Google search with an itching in my groin and, to my surprise, found Jack Nicholson as the Joker. No joke. Okay, it was on page 2 of a 15 page batch of results, but what the hell?

The Rachel Ray pics were a tad disappointing, I thought. She had that look that just screamed "pre-posed" and "hee hee, I'm in my underwear, so let's see how silly I can look!" Not bad, but I expected a half-naked Rachel Ray to be a whole fucking hell of a lot more boner-inducing.

I can tell she's a huge damn geek from the way she acts on TV, but when a babe like that strips down to a bra and apron and covers herself with chocolate, it should look a lot more natural. Yeah, I know how incredibly fucking stupid that sounds, but natural-looking pics are a lot sexier.

When half-naked Rachel Ray in chocolate for a shoot for a major men's magazine isn't half as sexy as geeky Rachel Ray wearing a sweater and making her umpteenth sloppy joes recipe, a cameraman needs to be fired. Or killed. Either works for me.

Sloppy Joe is an awful funny term to come up during a discussion of some hottie. Not sure why........

Chux- The only one I found even remotely rod raising was the one of her lickin' the big spoon of chocolate. But I totally 100% agree with you about the "pre-posed" thing. I guess the money must've been right[roll]

Back on topic a bit, some of you in these very forums might hate TV a bit more since it looks very likely that FOX is cancelling "Arrested Development". And I know Snigtad is crying in his pillow because the WB cancelled "7th Heaven".

Arrested Development has been funny, but I can see why it wouldn't have the mass appeal of Seinfeld - it's a little out there. I think TV as an entity has been REALLY hit hard by the surge in internet usage and popularity - advertisers have to choose where the money goes, and the deals are probably better on the web, and are likely hitting as many viewers. The Networks are going to have to tighten their belts over the next few years, I'd wager.

The only shows I watch regularly are PrisonBreak on Mondays and Lost on Wednesdays.

But 24 starts up again in January and Jack Bauer will be kicking your collective jimmies and fellas.

I usually sont watch tv shows when they are on because of my schedule. I watch Family Guy and Sunday FOx. I also love Criminal Minds and with out a trace. I have gotten into Alias as they show it here at 12:30 on Saturday nights on CBS.

I'll watch 24 again this year, it was pretty cool last season. I still haven't bothered watching the first 3 "days" however - fuck that cat doesn't sleep much.

I missed last season of 24, my work schedule has me all fucked up when it comes to shows like this. What pisses me off is they dont repeat them.

I just bought Season 1 of Veronica Mars. Good little detective show. And that Kristen Bell is nice eye candy.
